Linaria is the main harbor of Skyros and is located in a distance of 10km north-western of Skyros Town or Chora. It is a relatively small graphic harbor seated in a narrow bight protected from the etesian winds of Aegean Sea. Also it presents big movement during the summer period. Round the harbor is developed the settlement “Linaria” that with its traditional architecture and the breeze of sea resemble with a live table of painting.

Regarding the swimming, there is the location “Aherounes” with a splendid golden sandy beach and near is located the beach of Kalamitsa that is considered ideal for wind surfing. From the harbour begin the caiques that go to the eminent caves, at the southern department of the island, with the impressive stalactites. The astonishing shapings of the rocks and the intense aquamarine colour of waters round the marine caverns will capture your glance.
