Arrive Oslo and transfer on your own to hotel

The capital of Norway is one of Europe’s fastest-growing cities. International media is constantly writing about Oslo’s innovative architecture, museums, and neighborhoods, as well as

everything that moves on the food, fashion, art, and music scenes. Over the last few years, several new quarters have been established in the city centre, with exciting new activities and attractions. The high-rise buildings in Barcode and captivating landmarks like the Opera House

and the Astrup Fearnley museum are changing the face of the city, and have now been accompanied with the Munch Museum and National Museum.

The Bergen Railway is a unique experience on Northern Europe's highest-altitude railway line. One of the greatest challenges is the harsh and changeable weather.

Today, skilled workers, effective equipment, tunnels and snow tunnels make the Bergen Railway one of the safest and most comfortable ways of travelling between Oslo and Bergen. The line was voted one of the 20 best railway experiences in the world in 1999.

Change train at Myrdal - Mountain Railway down to Flåm

The Flåm Railway has been named one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, and is one of the leading tourist attractions in Norway. The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, up to the high mountains at Myrdal station. The journey displays the very best aspects of Western Norway`s stunning scenery.

Arrive Flåm and walk down to your hotel, located a short walk from the arriving point.

Breakfast at your hotel before you spend some time in the little village of Flåm, perhaps take a walk by the fjord before departure in the afternoon? Maybe you want to take a kayak tour or a tour with the RIB boat? Visit the Flåm railway Museum or a tour to Stegastein viewpoint? Let us know and we will include a nice activity! Be sure to board the boat at least 20 minutes prior to set time of departure

Afternoon:

Express boat from Flåm to Balestrand on the King of fjords: the Sognefjord. Please meet at the pier 20 minutes prior to departure for check in

On the journey by express boat out the Sognefjord you will see tall, impressive mountains along the Aurlandsfjord. Out towards the sea, the scenery becomes more open and there is a teeming and varied bird life. The Sognefjord is Norway's deepest (1.308 m) and longest (204 km) fjord.

Arrival Balestrand and self-transfer from the pier to the hotel, a short walk from the boat.

Balestrand is noted for its magnificent scenery and pure, clean air. Located on the northern shore of the mighty Sognefjord, Balestrand is a picturesque little village. In Balestrand you can relax amid quiet, peaceful surroundings, strolling beside the fjord or rambling in the mountains. And, of course, there are plentiful opportunities for bathing and water sports

Experience fjord landscapes and Bøyabreen glacier on the same day.

The Fjord Cruise include visit to Bøyabreen glacier as well as Norwegian Glacier Museum in Fjærland.

The Scenery in the Fjærlandsfjord is absolutely breathtaking.

The narrow Fjærlandsfjord with its steep and forested mountain sides leads you to the edge of the majestic Jostedalen Glacier.

On the boat tour you may enjoy a good dinner, snacks and beverage while cruising the fantastic Fjærlandsfjord.

There is an abundance of wildlife in the area, and more than 100 different bird species have been observed in the Bøyaøyri Nature Reserve. On arrival Fjærland, bus will take you to the Norwegian Glacier Museum. The Norwegian Glacier Museum is an interactive museum for the Whole Family, who gives you knowledge about

glaciers and climate in New innovative ways. From the Norwegian Glacier Museum the tour continues up to Bøyabreen glacier – a branch of Jostedalsbreen glacier. Here you can take some photos and see how the glacier presses itself into the landscape.

The bus returns to Fjærland quay, and the sightseeing boat takes you back to Balestrand. The trip back gives you the chance to reflect on the fact that these fjords were shaped several thousand years ago by ice.

Morning: Boat from Balestrand to Bergen on the Sognefjord

Noon: Arrival Bergen and transfer on your own to the hotel for the night.
