The Bergen Railway is a unique experience on Northern Europe's highest-altitude railway line. One of the greatest challenges is the harsh and changeable weather. Change train at Myrdal - Mountain Railway down to Flåm The Flåm Railway has been named one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, and is one of the leading tourist attractions in Norway. The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, up to the high mountains at Myrdal station. The journey displays the very best aspects of Western Norway`s stunning scenery. Afternoon: Arrive Flåm - spend a little time in Flåm before you’ll continue by cruise and bus to Gudvangen and Voss. Walk to the pier for boat to Gudvangen – be on board at least 20 minutes prior to departure. Cruise from Flåm to Gudvangen Arrive Gudvangen and walk to the bus – located a few steps from the pier. Bus from Gudvangen via Stalheim to Voss Arrive Voss - the bus stops right outside the train station a short walk to your hotel Voss is globally known as the "extreme sports village", and here you can try everything from skydiving to rafting in safe conditions. In the summer and autumn, you can spend a lifetime exploring the various hikes in our mountains. In the winter time skiing is the biggest activity in Voss, and we have two ski resorts that you can visit. The new Voss Gondol, which is located by the train station, will take you to the top of Mount Hanguren, all year round. Duration 8,8 minutes from 56 to 820 masl. Whether you are searching for short or long hiking trips, Hangurstoppen is the perfect starting point for hiking in the mountains. Here – you’ll find spectacular nature and marked trails suited for everyone. The area at Hanguren is an easy and accessible hiking area for all ages. If you are looking for a full workout, the mountain has lots to offer, but you can also find plenty of trails that are suitable for the entire family. From the old “Hangursrestauranten” you have panorama view overlooking the Vangsvatnet lake and Voss town center. From Hanguren, one can also access “The Red Cross Cabin / Røde Kors hytta”, Raugstad, mount Lønahorgi or Bavallen. One can also walk down to Mølstertunet or Voss town centre from here. Your choice!
