Under the vaults each castle has a wine cellar with our special Romanian quality wines imported directly from our vineyards. Free tasting for individuals on Saturdays 1 - 4 p.m. Groups on appointment only. Hvedholm SlotFaaborg, DenmarkHvedholm Castle is situated on the outskirts of Faaborg. The grandiose main building with the impressive view and location near the South Funen Archipelago, is breathtaking. In 1880, Count Bille Brahe Selby rebuilt the castle substantially. Today, Hvedholm has beautiful rooms with canopy beds, banqueting hall, restaurant and unique conference facilities. The main building has 45 restored rooms, all with canopy beds. In the castle park are 17 suites and rooms. 16 of the rooms have been built in 2007. The guests have also the opportunity to stay in Aeblehuset, which is a very luxurious room. Kokkedal SlotBrovst, DenmarkKokkedal Castle is situated on a hillside with an impressive view over the Liim Fiord. The moat that circles the castle, indicates that the castle was built for war and defence. Good atmosphere and conversing guests can be heard in the beautiful halls. The history of Kokkedal Castle goes back to the Middle Ages. The castle was first mentioned in a document from 1470. At that time, the estate belonged to esquire Anders Albrechtsen. The castle is beautifully decorated and provides the perfect setting for festive occasions. Christening and wedding receptions, birthday parties, seminars, board meetings, workshops and many other events, can be held at Kokkedal Castle. SauntehusHornbaek, DenmarkSauntehus Slotshotel is situated in North Zealand, only 30 minutes drive from Copenhagen and near Hornbæk plantation, the oldest plantation in the country, which was planted in 1793. The fishing hamlet has inspired many painters of the Golden Age, for instance, Jens Juel and poets as Holger Drachmann and August Strindberg, who have found inspiration in the beautiful surroundings. Sophiendal GodsSkanderborg, DenmarkSophiendal Manor is located in the highland between Ejer Bavnehoj and Himmelbjerget. Vast forests, lakes and rivers, make Sophiendal's location spectacular. The deers can be heard belling in the valleys and the eagles screaming. The abbey church is situated behind the manor. The church was built in 1058 and is the oldest in the country. After the Reformation, the monastery was placed under Skanderborg castle until 1767, when the king sold Venggaard to the prefect von Woyda. He built the manor and called it Sophiendal after his wife Sophie. The manor provides the perfect setting for special occasions. Sophiendal Manor is the ideal venue for christenings, weddings, birthday parties, receptions, seminars, workshops and board meetings, with capacity for up to 120 guests. The old, beautiful manor house is surrounded by forest and park. The area has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The halls are good examples of Baroque style, which was predominant in the 17th century, when Count Christian Levetzau built the present main building, after the Northern War in 1723. The manor house provides the perfect setting for festive occasions. Store Restrup Manor House is the ideal venue for weddings, christenings, birthday and family parties, board meetings, seminars, workshops and many other occasions, with capacity for up to 300 guests. The guests have the possibility to taste 6 selected wines from our own production and from import. Vraa Castle HotelAalborg, DenmarkVraa Castle Hotel is located near Tylstrup, north of Aalborg. The castle, built in 1645, is surrounded by a moat and is located in an old manor park. Vraa Castle Hotel houses a cozy restaurant that has been renovated with most care and respect for its old style and design and with an exit to the terrace and castle gardens. The Great Hall is situated on the ground floor in the main wing next to the bar and lounges. Located in Vendsyssel, 20 minutes from Aalborg Airport and a few minutes drive from the highway leading North and South, Vraa is easily accessible. The historic salons and halls are beautiful surroundings for meetings, conferences and family events. All rooms are newly renovated with canopy beds and a view to the park and moat. The castle can house 100 sleeping guests divided into 40 rooms. |
