Snowmobile Safari to the Fells

Enjoy a snowmobile safari through the enchanting snow-covered Lapland landscapes. A break will be taken to take hot drinks beside an open fire.

 
Husky Safari Through the Fells

Experience a ride in a sledge pulled by a team of husky dogs, travelling through the spectacular forest and fell scenery. The silence around you is enormous, broken only by the sound of the sledge against the snow. On the way enjoy lunch by an open fire in a Lapp Kota tent.

 
Visit to Husky Farm by Snowmobile

Drive by snowmobile to a husky farm. Meet the yelping dogs and take a 30-minute ride with a team of huskies. Hot coffee is served round an open fire inside a Lappish kota where you can learn more about the lives of the husky dogs. Return back to Saariselkä by snowmobile.

 
Snowmobile Safari to Igloo Village

(Please note: The visit to the igloo village is subject to weather conditions and can be confirmed 1 week prior to the tour)

Depart from Saariselkä on snowmobiles to the Igloo Village of Kakslauttanen. At the igloo village are snow and glass igloos, an Ice Gallery, where you can see ice sculptures made by Lappish sculptors, an Ice Chapel, and the worldâs largest snow restaurant. During the visit enjoy a hot drink in the ice bar, which is rebuilt every year.

 
Visit to a Reindeer Farm by Snowmobile

Drive by snowmobile to a local reindeer farm, meet the Sámi owner and his reindeer. At the farm the Sámi host will welcome guests and introduce the Sámi culture and teach a little about reindeer husbandry. During the visit guests will learn how to throw the Lappish lasso and drive the reindeer sleighs. hot drinks served before driving the snowmobile back to Saariselkä

 
Snowshoe Trip to Nature

Your guide will take you on a nature walk on snowshoes, both on trails and off-the-beaten-track in the deep snow. The guide will teach about the Lappish winter nature and point out animal tracks of rabbits, foxes, and the famous Lappish snow grouse. Break for hot drinks and photo-stops along the way.
