Rovinj, Croatia

Rovinj is one of the most picturesque Mediterranean towns. When you climb to the top of the bell-tower above the roof of the church you can see a unique combination of nature in all its magnificence and many historical monuments.

First mentioned in 7th century, Rovinj is today a treasure of cultural and historical monuments: a 13th century Romanesque heptagonal baptistery, the baroque Parish church of St. Euphemia (1736), the church of St Francis and the Franciscan monastery dating from the 18th century, the Baroque town hall builtin the 17th century, ornamented by the symbolic city clock, the city museum, the Local Magistrate's Court, the city walls with the famous Balbi's gate, to name a few.

The mild climate with 2.400 hours of sunshine annually, and many cultural, artistic and sport performances make Rovinj known in Croatia and in the world.
