Pyha is in the middle of Finnish Lapland (only 90 minutes from the Arctic Circle and 3 hours from the Sampo Ice-Braker) with excellent facilities and well organised activity services. The Aittakuru Amphitheatre and the concert hall built on the Luosto slopes offer venues difficult to find elsewhere. Pyha Orientation Safari

Get to know Pyha by snowmobile. Your route takes you through picturesque forests with trees laden with snow, across the frozen Pyhäjarvi Lake and around the fells. Hot drink and pastry in cosy coffee shop before returning to Pyha.

 
Visit to Santa's Secret Cottage

A true fantasy experience, ideal for families. A twilight visit to Santa in his secret place in the forest. Travel by sleigh behind a snowmobile in search of Santa Claus. Follow the candlelit path to his secret cottage tucked away in the trees. Whilst waiting for your turn to visit Santa, enjoy a plate of traditional Finnish Christmas porridge and a hot drink in a kota (traditional Lappish tepee) around an open fire. Each family will have private time with Santa and each child will get a gift from him.

 
Fun in the Snow Day

Learn the skills of outdoor living and a get a taste of winter nature in Lapland fishing through a hole in the ice, checking nets under the ice, making a fire and snowshoe walking. Visit to Husky & Reindeer Farm

Visit to the Pyhä-Luosto Husky and Reindeer Park. After an informative talk on the huskies, experience the power of the dogs at work with a five hundred metre husky sleigh ride. Then on to the reindeer farm area for a presentation on reindeer husbandry followed by a fifteen minute reindeer sleigh ride. After a hot drink, return to Pyhä. Visit to Amethyst Mine

This unique mine situated on the top of the fell in Luosto, has one of the richest amethyst deposits ever found above the Arctic Circle. Crystallised in the bowels of the earth about 2,000 million years ago, the amethyst is believed by some to bring health, wisdom and strengthen loyalty. After a fascinating talk on the amethyst, dig for your own lucky stone. Includes transfer, guide, entrance fee and lucky stone.
