Baffin Island, Canada

Auyuittuq National Park is located on Baffin Island and preserves the northern extremity of the Canadian Shield. The park is home to polar bear, barren-ground caribou, snowy owls and arctic lemmings.

Sirmilik National Park preserves northern Baffin Island plus portions of the Eastern Artic Lowlands and Lancaster Sound. The landscape features sea cliffs, glaciers calving into the sea and spectacular fiords. Wildlife present in the park includes Barren-Ground caribou, artic fox and polar bear. Birds from Europe and North America intermingle on Bylot Island.
