Sagadi Hotel

Historically the manors have always expected guests and received them cordially. Sagadi Manorial Estate caters to all needs of the guests - recreational as well as business related endeavours.

The Sagadi Forest Centre at the Sagadi manorial estate on the northern coast of Estonia, is surrounded by the beautiful nature of Lahemaa National Park. The history of the estate dates back more than 500 years. Nowadays, Sagadi has become a renowned centre for environmental education, culture and tourism.

The onetime wealth of the Sagadi lords of the manor was partly founded on the forest. Furthermore, the manorial estate was renovated by the forestry organisation in the 1970s, and even now, the forestry people â more precisely the State Forest Management Centre (RMK) - administer the Sagadi manorial estate. The Forest museum, manor house museum, nature school, hotel, hostel, and restaurant all function together. What makes Sagadi manorial estate unique is the integrity of the complex â numerous outbuildings together with the estate gardens and ponds, arranged with baroque symmetry in the landscape. Sagadi manorial estate is an architectural ensemble of national importance.

The valuable heritage of the Sagadi estate is the foundation of the modern day activities of the forest centre. The visitor can learn new things about the forest and nature, enjoy the beautiful countryside, stay in a comfortable hotel and delight in delicious food in a beautiful environment.

The Sagadi hotel is located due east from the bell tower that has become the symbol of the manorial estate, in the historic circular stables building. The hotel has 28 comfortable and cosy guest rooms.

The manorial estate has also a 35-bed hostel on the grounds for the guests opting for more

modest accommodation. The hostel can also be efficiently used as a venue for various social events.

Location

There are plenty of opportunities available at Sagadi to spend ones free time â one can visit the Forest Museum and get acquainted with the forest population and their secrets, attend the micro hikes at the Nature School, where the grains of sand are turned into jewels and moss into coral reefs, or enjoy the various expositions at display at the exhibition hall as well as at the manor house.

It is possible to free your mind between the busy meetings and negotiations and relax while sitting on the alder tree log, baking fish and listening to the âforest manâs❠meanders regarding fire, time and people. Or wander deep into the primeval forest and try to catch the sunrays deep down in the woods â even when the weather is cloudy. To do everything, using all your senses, to make yourself feel like a part of the living breathing nature that you really are.

You can learn about the natureâs Sun catchers and find out in which way and to whom the energy is being transferred. It is possible to gather the energy carriers Estonians have known for centuries with your own hands from the nature and later on all together at the manor house kitchen to turn them into

fantastic refreshments. Adventurous natures can seek for the missing chapters of the rich history of the Sagadi manorial estate that have been lost during the times of turmoil or participate at the engagement party that is held the way the engagement parties were held centuries ago.

The location of the Sagadi manorial estate offers countless opportunities to learn about the local

sites of natural or cultural and heritage value. There are numerous fishermen villages in the surrounding area at the coast, nature treks and passages, and also several other renovated manorial

estates well worth visiting. And the beautiful sandy beaches are only mere 6 km away.
