Itinerary

Arrival Kirkenes Airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Kirkenes is known as the Capital of the Barents Region and gateway to the East. Please consult the Borealis Destination Management welcome letter which you receive on check-in to your hotel,and kindly note where and when to meet your tour leader. Rest of your day is at leisure.

OPTIONAL EXCURSION:King Crab Safari

Enjoy this morning to experience one of the highlights of Northern Norway and at the same time taste one of the local delicacies, on this optional activity. You will come face to with this giant of the sea on the King Crab safari. The red king crab found in the Barents Sea can reach up to two meters from claw to claw and weigh up to 15 kilos.

In the afternoon, you will travel a short distance outside of Kirkenes to the Kirkenes Snow Hotel where you will enjoy a visit to this very special hotel, where dinner is served. A transfer is included after dinner, back to the Hotel in Kirkenes.

OPTIONAL: OVERNIGHT STAY AT SNOW IGLOO

For those who are game, there is also an opportunity to stay in a Snow Igloo, sleeping in a thermal sleeping bag in approximately minus 5 degrees Celsius.

Breakfast at the hotel.Depart Kirkenes and Norway and cross the board into Finland,travelling via Inari,to Saariselkä, a small village surrounded by untouched wilderness.Here we will visit The National Museum of the Finnish Sámi(SIIDA),where you will learn more about the Sami culture and their way of their living.Free time at the museum for lunch (not included).Check-in to your hotel, and the rest of your dayis at leisure

Breakfast at the hotel. The day is at leisure to try one of the many fascination optional tours. Saariselka and it’s surrounding landscape is ideal for cross country skiing or why not take one of the most popular tours, a Snowmobile safari to the Fells.

Breakfast at your hotel. Your day is at leisure until your transfer to Ivalo airport in good time for your departure flight.
