Explore the main features of Iceland�s nature in the Southwest of the country: waterfalls, lava fields, hot springs, volcanoes, Atlantic Ocean and beaches. There will be some time for shopping and exploring Reykjav�k, Iceland�s capital. Welcome to the Viking Winter Wonderland.

GULLFOSS & GEYSIR

Start the morning Viking style with a visit to one of Reykjavik’s many geothermal outdoor swimming pools and go for a walk in the neighborhood of your hotel. At noon you will travel to the world-famous Geysir geothermal field and Gullfoss, the queen of Icelandic waterfalls. The Geysir geothermal field has spouting springs of various formations, bubbling hot water and exploding geysers while at Gullfoss you are given the opportunity to stand next to the amazing waterfall, watching its enormous quantities of water tumble violently into a deep, meandering gorge.

In one afternoon you spend your time encountering a cross-section of Iceland's natural wonders and geological phenomena. Included in the tour is a visit to the Geysir museum.

 
Day 3     Reykjavik

SOUTH COAST

This tour is ideal for nature lovers of all kinds. You will have an opportunity to stand behind the plummeting Seljalandsfoss waterfall, walk up to the Skógafoss waterfall and gaze at the formations. We travel along the South Coast of Iceland as far as Vík í Mýrdal a small charming village surrounded by beautiful high bird cliffs. Here you get also the possibility to visit a local wool factory and outlet store. Highlights of the day are stunning views of glaciers, waterfalls, black lava sand coast lines, and impressive rock formations. In the tiny village of Skógar we visit one of Iceland’s most beautiful folk museums with turf houses.
