Day 1     Oslo

Individual arrival to Oslo.

International media is constantly writing about Oslo’s innovative architecture, museums, and neighbourhoods, as well as everything that moves on the food, fashion, art, and music scenes. Over the last few years, several new quarters have been established in the city center, with exciting new activities and attractions. The high-rise buildings in Barcode and captivating landmarks like the Opera House

and the Astrup Fearnley museum are changing the face of the city, and have now been accompanied by the new Munch Museum and National Museum.

 
Day 2     Oslo

Day 3     Flam - Gudvangen - Voss - Bergen

Morning: Train from Oslo to Myrdal.

The Bergen Railway is a unique experience on Northern Europe's highest-altitude railway line. One of the greatest challenges is the harsh and changeable weather. Today, skilled workers, effective equipment, tunnels and snow tunnels make the Bergen Railway

one of the safest and most comfortable ways of travelling between Oslo and Bergen. The line was voted one of the 20 best railway experiences in the world in 1999.

Change train at Myrdal - Mountain Railway down to Flåm

The Flåm Railway has been named one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, and is one of the leading tourist attractions in Norway. The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, up to the high mountains at Myrdal station. The journey displays the very best aspects of Western Norway`s stunning scenery.

Afternoon:

Arrive Flåm and walk to the pier for boat to Gudvangen – be on board at least 20 minutes prior to departure. Arrive Gudvangen and walk to the bus stop– located a few steps from the pier.

Bus from Gudvangen via Stalheim to Voss

Arrive Voss - the bus stops right outside the train station so easy transfer from bus to train by foot with your belongings in hand.

Train from Voss to Bergen

Arrive Bergen and self-transfer from the train station to the hotel.

Food and Culture walk- Discover Bergen with all your senses. Food and Culture walk is a great way to explore Bergen and learn about the history of both the city and the food. You will be accompanied by

a local guide in a small group.

Bergen is a city full of history in both culture and food and this tour is focusing on the local produce, food traditions as well as Bergen's interesting culture and people. There will be stops along the tour, where you will get to taste a selection of what the city and its historic food has to offer. You will visit UNESCO World Heritage Listed – Bryggen, in addition to a local restaurant which was previously a public bath. The last stop is the oldest working basement – in Norway- still in use. Here you will get served a small beer and a very special story. The food will be sufficient as a lunch.
