Itinerary

Arrival at Copenhagen Airport Kastrup and change of flight from Copenhagen to Rønne (duration approximately 35 minutes). Arrival at Rønne Airport at transfer to hotel on own. Walk to the Bike Rental shop, situated 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Here you will receive your bikes and arrival package with route descriptions, maps, vouchers, travel documents and touristic materials. Welcome to the island famous for its smoked fish, friendly people and great conditions for cyclists and other tourists. Upon arrival, you may feel the cosy atmosphere and sense of authenticity. Take a stroll in the charming old town with traditional half-timbered houses and quaint little courtyards. Accommodation in cenrally located hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Follow the coastal cycling route to Hasle. Visit the ecological grocery store and experience the only fish smokehouse still working by the old methods turning the fish shimmery gold. Stop to savour a local meal and make your way to cozy Allinge at the Northern tip of Bornholm. Accommodation at centrally located hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you may relax at the hotel or take a one day trip to the Northern Westcoast of Bornholm. Start with the beautiful lakes in Sandvig and the iconic ruins of the medieval castle, Hammershus. Continue along the coast where we recommend lunch in Vang at one of the culinary highlights of the island. Make your way down a beautiful stretch on the western coastline and go back to Allinge by a parallel inland route and overnight at the same hotel as last night.

Breakfast at the hotel. On your way to Gudhjem you pass by the rock formations, the Holy Rocks, the Bornholm Art Museum and Døndal Valley with Denmark’s highest waterfall and an amazing wildlife. Once you are in Gudhjem, do not forget to taste the specialty of smoked herring, “Sun above Gudhjem”, and visit the newly established Regional Food House, “Gaarden” where you may buy a collection of some of the Bornholm treats. Breakfast at the hotel. Pay a visit to Østerlars Round Church, dating back to about 1150 and famous for its frescos and stories of the Knights Templar. Follow the beautiful route taking you through Bornholm’s versions of honey and farm shops before ending in Svaneke - the town celebrated for its brewery, ice cream, liquorices, sweets and crafts.

If choosing 5 days tour, the route today will be from Gudhjem to Rønne (app. 24 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. This day is an easy trip along the coast to Balka staying close to the beachside. Take an evening trip to Snogebæk and taste their delicious ice cream. Accommodation at centrally located hotel - (app. 12 km)

If choosing 6 days tour, the route today will be from Balka to Rønne (app. 31 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Before leaving the hotel and your luggage, you may enjoy the sea view and a swim at Balka Beach. Continue the tour by biking along the vineyards, and swing by the beautiful Aakirkeby, or treat yourself to a visit at the spa back in Rønne. En the evening we recommend dinner at the exquisite Restaurant Kadeau or the local winery.

If choosing 7 days tour, go to Rønne for departure in the afternoon.

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast and checkout at the hotel, it is time for departure. Depending on your specific departure time, you may have time for a walk around the town or a relaxed goodbye by visiting the cafés at the centre square. Transfer from hotel to Rønne Airport and flight out on own.
