Itinerary

Arrival to Rovaniemi airport. Transfer to Ranua Village, 1 hour drive from Rovaniemi. Accommodation to charming, high-quality apartments of GuloGulo Holiday Village situated next to WildLife Park in Ranua. After a long travel day up to Arctic Circle the children will find a small surprise in their pillow. Dinner in hotel´s restaurant. Pick up thermal outfit in Holiday Village´s reception during the evening.

Buffet breakfast in Villages Restaurant. Meet with guide at the reception for a “not so ordinary” visit at polar bear fence; the animal keeper provides you with interesting information on the White King of the Arctic and safety instructions when he takes you to the “backstage”. There you will have the chance to greet the largest predator in the world safely from the other side of the fence, just a couple of meters away. After this interesting date with polar bear you will learn a lot of another 200 arctic animals of the park during the guided tour. You may return to meet your favorite animals as many times as you like as the wristband is valid during your entire stay at Ranua. Special dinner is served at atmospheric “kota” ( Lappish hut ) around open fires; tasty game consommé, traditional glow fired salmon with dill- potatoes and crepes with raspberry jam and whipped cream..

Buffet breakfast Santa Claus is coming this evening but the Christmas tree is still missing… so lets´ head our snowmobiles towards snow covered forests to search the most beautiful Christmas tree. After finding the Christmas tree, we return indoors to decorate the tree together and enjoy hot drink with Christmas cookies. Part of the Finnish tradition in Christmas Eve is of course Christmas sauna; enjoy a relaxing bath in your private sauna at apartment. Christmas Eve celebration with gala dinner and Santa Claus visit in Villages restaurant.
