Narsarsuaq

Historic sites from the Viking Age, fertile mountains with sheep farms, deep blue fjords with multi-coloured icebergs, calving glaciers - and everything within short range from your hotel.

Narsarsuaq offers the most varied excursion programme in Greenland: Iceberg and glacier cruises, hiking tours to the Inland Ice Cap, Viking ruins, tiny settlements and Greenlandic towns.

Narsaq

Narsaq is a small but beautiful village located in the amazing fjord systems of South Greenland.

Not far from the town you will be able to visit the Inland Ice Cap and several glaciers. They are all easily accessed by boat on one of our many excursions in the area.

In the outskirt of the village you will see Kvanefjeldet tower majestically - a mountain which is known to be teeming with different minerals, it may well play an important role in Greenland's future focus on the mining industry.

Itinerary

Arrival to Keflavik Airport. Private pick-up by our local representative and transfer to your hotel in Reykjavik. If times allows we will go via Krysuvik.

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning city sightseeing of Reykjavik including the town of Hafnarfjordur where we visit the Fish Market, the open Air Museum Arbær, one of the outdoor swimming pools and the towering Hallgrim's Church. We also pass through the old town, the harbor, the summit-meeting house Höfdi and the House of Parliament.

Afternoon at leisure in Reykjavik.

Optional excursion to Blue Lagoon (not incl.).

Alternatively; pay a visit to one of the many local geothermal swimming pools - a perfect way to meet the Icelanders.

Breakfast at hotel. Today's excursion is one of the most popular day trips in Iceland: The Golden Circle area where we experience the majestic waterfalls at Gullfoss, the erupting hot springs at Geysir, the national park of Thingvellir and the greenhouse village of Hveragerdi.

Air Iceland afternoon flight from Reykjavik Domestic Airport to Narsarsuaq.

Meet and greet by Arctic Adventure destination guide.

Transfer to the nearby Hotel Narsarsuaq for check-in, information meeting and guided tour of Narsarsuaq.

Welcome dinner at the hotel.
