We also have activities and events for children. Snowboarders can revel in three terrain parks and Geilo is recognised as a world class area for kite-skiing. For cross country skiers, we can offer 220 km of prepared slopes. You also have the opportunity to try tobogganing, snowmobile racing, guided snow shoe adventure, guided cross country skiing or go dog sledding while staying in Geilo. In the mountain village you can find a variety of shops and all service facilities. Geilo also offers you a taste of the âGood life❠â good foods and drinks, comfort and luxury. Snow Board; Test yourself on the big jump, fun box and border cross, or try the countryâs only super-pipe in Norwayâs best snowboard park. You can do a boardslide on the rail, and the Volkswagen beetle on the slope is ready for a nose & tail bunk.

Norwayâs coolest half pipe â the Super Pipe at Fugleleiken. With a height of 5.70 metres and length of 150 metres, the new half pipe on Geiloâs sunny side looks huge and formidable. It is Northern Europeâs largest half pipe, but it is also suitable for beginners. More than NOK 1.2 million has been invested in special maintenance equipment for the snowboard parks, for the benefit of our snowboard guests. You will not fail to notice this! Cross Country; Geilo offers countless possibilities for cross- country skiers. Here you can find a large network of trails and well-prepared marked tracks. The majestic Hallingskarvet mountain watches over everything and everyone. Round the mountain there are endless kilometres of inviting cross country tracks. A cross country ski trip is so much more than just walking up and along. A mouthful of healthy and good life is what you get. Enjoy it! Put on your cross-country skis and move silently across the Hardangervidda plateau. Feel yourself gliding. Taste the fresh air. Let yourself be surrounded by tranquillity and nature. Treat yourself to a break. Eat a packed lunch in the sun along the route or stop at one of Geiloâs traditional ski lodges and treat yourself to hot buns and waffles Downhill; 38 downhill slopes, 20 lifts, 3 snowboard areas. Childrenâs skiing areas. Geilo has a varied network of well-prepared downhill slopes. They have a high level of safety and allow plenty of space for you and your style of skiing. From November until May you can choose almost all types of slope - steep and wide, long and easy.

Shopping in Geilo

The centre of Geilo is a modern meeting point with a wide selection of stores and service facilities. The shops have a central location with a short walking distance from the ski centres and hotels in Geilo. You will find grocery-stores, sports dealer's, clothing stores, florists, perfumeries, gift shops, a book shop, kiosks etc. Bank, post office and pharmacy are also situated in the town centre. The cafés, pubs and restaurant contribute to the warm atmosphere of Geilo.

Itinerary

Arrive in Oslo and transfer to your hotel on your own.

Departure by train from Oslo to Geilo in either the morning or afternoon. It is approximately a 3.5 hour trip. Dinner at the hotel.
