Itinerary

Once you have landed at Keflavik Airport in Iceland, please pick up your luggage and head through customs. Transfer on own to Reykjavik and check-in at your hotel in Reykjavik city. The day is yours to rest and use at your own leisure.

Spend the day at your own leisure. In the late after-noon, self-transfer to the domestic airport in Reykjavik. Catch a flight to Akureyri at 17:30, the duration of the flight is approx. 45 minutes (depending on flight schedule and availibility).

Upon arrival at Akureyri Domestic Airport, you will be met by a local chauffeur who will drive you to Reynihlíð Hotel for check in (duration of the transfer is approx. 1 hour). This 4 star country hotel is fully licensed with a full service restaurant. Arriving at the hotel, an exact schedule for your stay waits, with abundance of optional tours on offer, to make your holiday unforgettable.

During winter the focus is on snow- and winter activities. You can enjoy hiking or cross country skiing as well as snow scooter tours and horseback riding. Nature sightseeing tours are also on offer, such as to the powerful Dettifoss waterfall, bound in ice while viewing the arctic wildlife fighting for survival.

Start the day with a two hour fully guided excursion to the most popular sites in the area, the boiling mud pots in Namafjall and Dimmuborgir Castles. Spend the rest of the day at Lake Myvatn and book any of the optional tours available.

In the morning transfer to the domestic airport in Akureyri, with a stop at the picturesque Godafoss waterfall, followed by a flight back to Reykjavik at 10:50 (depending on flight schedule and availibility). Transfer on own to hotel for an overnight stay. The day is at your leisure.
