Itinerary

Reykjavik - Peak Mountain base camp.

We depart from Reykjavik in the morning, heading east through the farmlands of the south-west. Getting closer to the famous volcano Eyjafjallajokull that erupted 2010 we turn of the main road and head to the dramatic landscape of Hekla Volcano. Hekla is on due, but don´t worry we keep safe distance and will continue for a little while longer to get to our base-camp. Getting to the base-camp on the super jeeps can take 1,5-5 hours depending what kind of conditions we will have. However just that journey makes the value of the tour unforgettable. When we finally reach our destination we will have short hike waiting for us, learn about the area, and have hot meal. We will spend the night sharing stories, talking about our adventure day and hopefully see the special lights that appear

time to time, often called the Northern lights. Overnight in Mountain Hut- dorm style.

Outdoor adventure day.

We will spend the whole day outside doing winter activities on your choose, you can choose between snowmobile around the mountains, climb the peak mountains on your skis for the ultimate free ride down again, learn about snowkite, snowshoes around the canyons and really feel the remoteness of the mountains. In the night we get back to the hut, cook traditional lamb and talk about the day. Overnight in the hut.

Peak Mountain base camp - Reykjavik.

For those who are going back to the civilization in Reykjavik we slowly pack our bags, have breakfast, make the last ride on the untouched slopes and head back on your super jeep. You can expect to be back in Reykjavik at 6 pm.
