The media has recently discovered the North Atlantic hidden gem that is the Faroe Islands. Not only were the islands awarded ‘The World’s Most Appealing Islands’ by

National Geographic Traveller magazine a few years ago. Stories about the amazing cuisine that can be found on theFaroe Islands are also beginning to surface.

And they are not wrong the intrepid journalists and gourmands who rave about the restaurants in the middle of the North Atlantic; Koks Restaurant in Torshavn, a finalist in the 2014 Gourmand Cookbook Awards is a must-visit for food lovers looking for a dining experience which combines local produce and cooking traditions with international style

and ideas. Not far from Koks is another foodie haven: Aarstova, which

may resemble a building you’d expect to see Hobbits living in – but inside the room is warm and the fragrances coming from the kitchen are delicious. Other establishments well

worth a mention are the sushi restaurant Etika, Hotel Hafnia or the local brewery Okkara.

In order to celebrate the Faroe Islands’ newfound gastronomical fame. Arctic We have in cooperation with Atlantic Airways created a 4-day programme which includes dinner at two of these restaurants while staying at the centrally located Hotel Streym. There will also be time to explore the rugged islands during the day and build up an appetite for the feasts that await you in the evening!

Evening arrival to Vagar Airport and transfer to Torshavn for check-in at the hotel. Why not celebrate your arrival with a visit to the acclaimed sushi restaurant Etika or the artisanal brewery Okkara?

 
Day 2     Torshavn
Accommodation: Streym Hotel
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Day at leisure in Torshavn. The hotel reception can help you book day trips, car rental etc. In the evening indulge in an 8-course feast at the internationally acclaimed restaurant KOKS

 
Day 3     Torshavn
Accommodation: Streym Hotel
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Day at leisure in Torshavn. This evening Aarstova Restaurant will tickle your taste buds with a delicious 3-course menu.

 
Day 4     Torshavn
Meals: Breakfast

After early breakfast transfer to the airport to catch your

morning flight back to Europe.
