Enjoy a buffet breakfast in a restaurant within a short walking distance from your cottage. Today is Christmas Eve and there are many traditions in Finland on this special day. An important one is to make Christmas for the natures own folks – thus today we shall decorate a Christmas tree for the animals! Transfer to the tree decoration will be by snowmobile-pulled sleigh. You will also pay a visit to the Nature Center which tells a story of the region’s flora and fauna with photo exhibitions. You might wish to join the locals for the traditional Christmas church service – held in the village schoolhouse which serves as this little community get-together venue. Lunch is served in a cozy, wooden hut during the course of the day.

Back in your apartment or cottage enjoy a sauna in your own privacy, or take a walk in the winter twilight. In early evening get together in a local restaurant to prepare for Christmas. Earlier today a tree was decorated for the forest folk so now it is time to decorate one for your own pleasure. Gingerbread cookies and hot "glogg", a spicy Finnish Christmas drink will be served. A sing along for Finnish Christmas songs will be arranged as Santa Claus is always greeted with a song.
