Hotel Flokalundur is a small, family-run summer-hotel, located in Vatnsfjordur, on the south coast of the West fjords, Iceland. The hotel is located nearby some of Icelands most beautiful natural sites, such as Latrabjarg, Raudasandur, the waterfall Dynjandi and the island Flatey. It is within easy distance from towns and villages of the West fjords, f.ex. Isafjordur (116 km north), Patreksfjordur (61 km west), Talknafjordur (62 km west), Bildudalur (45 km west), Holmavik (150 km east) and Budardalur (187 km south). Furthermore, it is only 6 km from Brjanslaekur, where the ferry Baldur stops. The hotel is located in quiet surroundings and within a walking distance you can find the unspoiled nature of the West fjords, geothermal areas, a swimming pool, a small shop, gas station and a restaurant. The excellent location of the hotel makes it a perfect place to stay during your visit to West fjords. Hotel Flokalundur is open from May 20th September 20th 2006. Our restaurant is open from 8 am to 11:30 pm. Breakfast is served from 8-10 am and during lunch hours we offer todays special along with a light menu which you can order from throughout the day. Dinner is served from 6-9 pm. Fresh fish from nearby fishing villages is a focal point on our menu.
